As part of our cross chain vision we are excited to announce T-Starter is now live on EOS. We have built a cross chain bridge, allowing START tokens to be moved easily between Telos and EOS and now support the same functionality on both the Telos and EOS blockchains.
How it works
Users can simply switch chains using a selector in the top right of the T-Starter application. Visit our application here.
Once you have selected the blockchain you can login using your account on that chain to use the platform.
Moving START tokens between Telos and EOS
You will need both a Telos and EOS account to move START tokens between the two blockchains. To send START from Telos to EOS select the Telos blockchain and login using your Telos account. Now select the “Wallet” menu option to view the tokens on that account.
Choose the “Send” action for the START token. This action allows you to send START to a Telos or EOS account. Specify the intended recipient by picking the destination blockchain and enter the account name.
Warning : make sure the account and blockchain are correct for the intended recipient. If you don’t have the keys for the receiving account you will loose your tokens.
The cross chain token transfer will take about 3 minutes to complete. Behind the scene we require that the transfer be witnessed on one chain and and reported on the other chain by three oracles before the transfer can be completed. Each oracle witnesses the transfer then waits for finality before reporting the cross chain event.
Why move START between blockchains
No new START will be minted for use on our EOS platform. The only tokens available on EOS are tokens sent from Telos. If you need to make use of any platform features which require START tokens you will have to send tokens between Telos and EOS or purchase tokens on that chain.
